Explore the I’m Your Man interactive experience…

I’m Your Man – SBS Interactive docO

Based on the stage play of the same name by Roslyn Oades
Part video game, part testament to Australia’s boxing greats, I’m Your Man is a 20-minute online interactive-documentary experience that places the user in the thick of the action.

At the heart of I’m Your Man is the story of up-and-coming Western Sydney boxer, Billy ‘The Kid’ Dib, who shares the immense personal challenges he has faced and how they have inspired him to keep returning to the sport he loves. Three of Dib’s life-altering matches are depicted as mini-games, utilising point cloud gesture recognition. As a viewer, you are thrust into the world of boxing, now as a ‘player’. Swiping gestures become punches and blocks. When your punches land accurately, Dib’s perspectives on winning and drive are revealed. A swing and miss reveals another side of the story; the lows of loss and failure.

Woven through Dib’s storytelling, we explore the diverse history of some of Australia’s best-known boxing legends. After each fight, audiences return to The Gym. A hub for the stories of Australia’s boxing legends including Lionel Rose, Jeff Fenech, Tony Mundine and Kostya Tszu.
